Balanda Joachim
Community Organizer
Balanda Joachim is a Brooklyn native born and raised in Flatbush. Her organizing career began working with homeless people and advocating for the decriminalization of homelessness. Since then Balanda has organized with tenants, fast food workers, and electoral campaigns. On her down time she participates in her community garden where she likes to grow basil and make home made pesto.
