Ensure optimal care of a newborn

Working with Neurodivergent Children is a new module in partnership with Cornell University that provides caregivers with the methods and tools to learn, understand, and provide better care to our neurodivergent children. After completion, participants of the course will be able to:

Vision for the Brooklyn Marine Terminal: Workshop #4
Join New York City Economic Development Corporation for the next in-person public workshop for the Brooklyn Marine Terminal (BMT). The workshop will feature presentations, Q&A, and interactive stations. Topics will include community engagement findings, proposed planning scenarios, and the project’s public benefits.
Stations will be present around the room where attendees can access information and directly engage with members of the project team. The presentation will take place twice during the evening and attendees have the option to attend one of the two sessions:

All members of the public—including local residents, workers, stakeholders, and businesses, are welcome and encouraged to participate. The event is free, and light refreshments will be provided. Language interpretation will be available in Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Continuing last month’s conversation on rights and resilience, we will turn our attention to the heavy topic of immigration enforcement. Welcome to We Rise! We Rise is a six-week certificate course en partnership with Cornell University to improve your skills as a nanny and raise standards in the domestic work industry. First Aid + CPR Training (English)
The CPR + First Aid class empowers nannies with vital life-saving skills, ensuring they are prepared to respond to emergencies with confidence. Participants will receive certification in CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants, equipping them to handle a wide range of situations with expertise and care.
The class runs from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM and is conducted entirely in English.
We will provide additional details, including the cost, once your registration is complete.

The Carroll Gardens Nanny Association (CGNA), in partnership with Take Root Justice, invites you to the Know Your Rights (KNYR) Workshop for Domestic Workers. This workshop is specifically designed to empower domestic workers by providing essential knowledge about workplace rights, legal protections, and resources available in New York City.
Gain insights into topics like wage and hour laws, safety in the workplace, protections against discrimination, and how to address common challenges faced by domestic workers. This is a valuable opportunity to connect with legal experts, share experiences, and strengthen our community’s ability to advocate for fairness and respect in the workplace.

Join the People’s Budget Launch
Eric Adams has proven he is unfit to lead New York City. His administration has slashed vital programs, ignored the needs of working-class New Yorkers, and put political self-preservation over people’s well-being. Now, with mounting scandals and failed leadership, it’s time to say loud and clear: Eric Adams must go.
