Care Workers Can’t Wait!

This week CGA members joined a delegation of workers from across the country calling on elected officials to pass the National Domestic Worker Bill of Rights, legislation that includes domestic workers in common workplace laws while creating new protections and stronger enforcement methods.

Congress introduced this legislation last summer for domestic workers, especially workers of color who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. Our elected officials have an opportunity to deliver good-paying care jobs and better working conditions and set a vision for our future where working people are respected across the country.

Join us in amplifying domestic workers' voices and calling on Congress to pass the National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights and ensure respect and dignity for workers nationwide. Together, we’ll move the country and economy toward one that works for everyone.

Gale and Doris (two and three from the left) joined the New York Delegation to meet with New York Senator Kristin Gillibrand and Congressmembers Nadler and Velazquez.

Workers from dozens of NDWA affiliates across the country joined together for the first time since the onset of the pandemic.
