In February 2022, Mayor Adams released his preliminary fiscal year 2023 budget for New York City. Once again, the mayor’s proposed an austerity budget filled with cuts to core resources and services that New Yorkers rely on.
Mayor Adams is cuttinglibraries, schools, pre-K for 3-year-olds, CUNY, and core social services in his latest budget, and unless New Yorkers fight back, many of ur public institutions and social safety nets are in threat of major cuts by June 2023.
