Housing Justice For All Member Meeting

We’re entering 2021 on the brink of a total housing catastrophe. By some estimates, 46% of New York’s renters will face eviction in the coming months. 92,000 New Yorkers are already homeless. Governor Cuomo is threatening to stop the production of supportive housing, taking critical steps backwards in the fight to ensure all New Yorkers are housed.

Join Housing Justice for All for mass member meeting to discuss the eviction crisis and how we are fighting back for an #EvictionFreeNY and budget justice! We'll talk about fight to Tax the Rich and keep New Yorkers in their homes.

For years, the housing movement has been fighting the austerity agenda advanced by Governor Cuomo and the real estate industry. But this time, things are different. Millions of New Yorkers are struggling to pay rent. The inhumanity of the homeless crisis – and the State’s utter failure to address it – is more apparent than ever. It’s lost on no one that the richest New Yorkers have watched their wealth double from the comfort of their Hamptons mansions. If there was ever a political moment to tax the rich, it’s now.
