Housing Justice for All Member Meeting to Stop Evictions

Events___Action_(w__Image)___FB_Post_(5).png

After a year of fighting, the New York State legislature has created a program to pay COVID-19 rent debt, but it’s not enough.

Without further action, millions of New Yorkers could face eviction on May 1st when the eviction moratorium expires. Additionally, millions of New York renters live in unregulated apartments where they have no basic protections against rent hikes and landlord harassment.

Senator Julia Salazar and Assembly-member Pamela Hunter have a bill that would expand tenant protections against unnecessary evictions and displacement.

Join Housing Justice for All for an important meeting to learn about how to get involved in the fight to:

    • Pass Good Cause Eviction, and why it’s so important to recover from COVID-19

    • Expand the eviction moratorium until the end of the pandemic + 180 days.

This meeting will be remote, via zoom. We will send you the zoom link in the coming days after you RSVP!

This meeting will be translated into English, Spanish, and Bangla!
