Hold the Line on Housing and Climate!

We have a once in a generation opportunity to win billions of dollars for our communities. March with us Tomorrow!

92,000 New Yorkers are already homeless and millions more can’t afford the rent. The climate crisis is causing more extreme weather events and causing more and more low income and working class New Yorkers to lose their homes. The truth is, the climate crisis and the housing crisis are killing us -- and we can’t wait another minute to invest in solving them. #BuildBackBetter -- as currently proposed, includes $330 billion housing assistance investment -- a historic number that would reverse decades of disinvestment in our public housing and expand rental assistance to tens of thousands of New Yorkers. It includes resources for green retrofits to our public housing, and measures that would reduce the carbon footprint dramatically over the coming decade. Join us tomorrow in calling on our federal representatives to hold the line on housing and climate money in the infrastructure package!
