One year ago, President Biden declared April Care Workers Recognition Month, and issued a historic executive order to expand access to care and improve pay and working conditions for care workers. This year, we will dedicate the month of April to celebration of the essential contributions of the direct care and childcare workforces, and to taking action together to realize our shared vision of a care system that works for us all.
On Thursday, March 28 from 8-9:30pm all nannies, housecleaners, home care workers, consumers of care, domestic employers and supporters are invited to join us to kick off Care Workers Recognition Month 2024. We will learn how the care system works and our strategies for making it better, share our plans for the month, and get ready to take action together.
