We Make History is a series of workshops for all domestic workers to learn about the movement, HISTORY AND STRUGGLE of domestic workers in the USA and to reflect on their own roles as leaders making history today.
The course focuses on an interactive timeline "A history of domestic workers' work and organization": http://domesticworkers.org/history
The workshops were designed by the National Alliance of Domestic Workers (ANTH) in collaboration with activist academics from Smith College. The course consists of 17 workshops, which we will be developing in two sessions per month, that is, 2 Saturdays in the month and each session will be 4 hours and will be carried out by ZOOM during the next 3 months from September to December. We will try to accept everyone who signs up, but it will depend on the space available.
We hope that many domestic workers feel proud of the work they have done so far and identify with the history of this movement!
