Expanding our Trainings and Celebrating new Graduates!
In March we graduated our latest We Rise Nanny Training class where 45 domestic workers met over six Saturdays at the Brooklyn Public Library to learn topics ranging from Child Nutrition, Worker Rights + Negotiations, Preventing Sexual Harassment, Social + Emotional Development, and more! Graduates received a certificate from Cornell University that is used to secure higher-paying and stable jobs while raising standards in the broader domestic work industry. You can learn more about We Rise here and also check out CGNA Peer Educator Chirssy share about her experience in this Essential Voices podcast episode! In addition to continuing our existing Nanny Training program we launched a new module on Newborn Care, graduating the first English + Spanish cohort in April!
